Sir,

The term used in Balance sheet is Contingent Liabilities, and the
meaning of all continjent
activities are same as per dictionary in my
openion.

Its performance depends upon the uncertainty of happening or non-happening in
some future event.Such event must be collateral, i.e. incidental to the
contract.The contingent event should not be mere will of the promisor.

that person can not contract to do impossible things or make their contract
depend on the happening of an impossible event.
